Meet the Facilitators 

Hello, I am dr. becky martinez and the President of Infinity Martinez Consulting. My approach as a consultant the past 25 years is to provide people and organizations opportunities for learning, healing and transformation. The content areas in my wheelhouse grounded in a social justice framework are: general to in-depth social justice/equity, diversity and inclusion, anti-oppression, fostering healthy teams, capacity building for leaders, train the trainer, curriculum development and writing, program development, and long-term culture change.

I am a faculty member with the Social Justice Training Institute and prior to this career, I worked as a student affairs administrator at UC Irvine, Cal State San Marcos and Occidental College. As a first-generation white-collar professional, I am incredibly proud of contributing to inclusion work focusing on social class identity and class(ism), particularly in the context of higher education. I am also a steadfast aunt, runner, fan of ice cream and nature, lover of tattoos and hope to always be in process. Thanks for stopping by to learn a bit about me. 

Hello, I am Dr. Alejandro Covarrubias and I'm President of Foundations for Hope & Justice Consulting. I have over 15 years of experience as an organizational development consultant, leadership coach, trainer, and speaker; and have worked with universities, tech start-ups, foundations, and non-profits across the country. I am also a faculty member for the Social Justice Training Institute (SJTI.org). Before consulting full time I served as an Assistant Professor of Leadership Studies at the University of San Francisco and as the Executive Director of Equity, Access, and Belonging at California Polytechnic University, Pomona. 

My goal is to work with individuals and organizations committed to social change by increasing their capacity to be more aligned with their core principles and more effectively meet their mission. I am grounded in the power of critical hope and approaches leadership development work through an intersectional and critical lens that bridges the power of storytelling with theoretical foundations.
